We bought two zero gravity chairs from Campers' World last year and they are pretty nice. Haven't taken them with the FW, but at home on the patio in the afternoon they are great. I believe we paid less than $80 for both of them, on a "special" at the time. And they seem to hold my way overweight body just fine.

thanks everyone for all the input. I have 2 costco's within a few miles. Going to go look at those first I think, and take it from there.

+1 on this particular chair. I've had mine for a full year of camping, and still love it. It is a good sized chair (I'm 6'3" 240lb). Took me 3 other chairs before I found this one.

It has the same cord suspension as a zero grav but is more of a camp chair. I like it better than our 2 true zero grav chairs because it isn't a recliner. The foot part of a recliner chair just gets in the way around the campfire, and can be a bit dangerous if it slips out unexpectedly.

ETA: one thing to consider if looking at a typical zero grav is if it is longer than you. As mentioned I am 6'3". Our chairs are something south of 6' when reclined. That means that both my head and ankles are resting on steel bars when reclined, which is bloody uncomfortable. Remember to try the chair in all positions before laying down the cash...

Bansai if you go to the store to look at them...they only sell them individually for $50. If you want the 2 pack, you have to order online for $80. Just FYI.
Good Luck!

...snip
I agree 100% with the foot part getting in the way!
We have a pair of LaFuma brand chairs (not the type with cords) that set up straight and can be reclined, but do not have the 'foot part'. If we have company, we use the chairs inside at our dining table with our two dining chairs, outside with our portable table or at a picknick table, and are very comfortable anywhere for relaxing.

BTW, I'm approaching your weight, but no where near your 'altitude'.

That Costco price is pretty good. We bought ours on Overstock.com late last year with free shipping for the same price as Costco's. Unfortunately it was a special at the time and they are no longer on sale. Good luck!

I ended up getting 2 of the Coleman chairs that a few of you guys recommended.

There are 3 of us though so I'm still picking up a zero g somewhere still today.

Ok, Editing to add, I ended up getting this Zero G chair from Cabelas. It was free after I used up some of my reward points.

First part of my order showed up today, the 2 Coleman chairs that bankr63 and paggy00271 recommended.

Probably the most comfortable camping chair I've ever sat in... ever.

Thank you guys for the awesome recommendations. My zero g shows up from Cabelas tomorrow.

Honestly, I'm half tempted to start swapping out my furniture at home with these. Probably looks a little 'white trash' to go that route, but wow. Great chairs, so thanks again for that, and all the other recommendations that came in.

It's funny you say that about replacing the chairs at the house. I sat in chairs from Costco and said to the DW that we need to get some for the back patio too. My fashion designer/social director/decorator (also known as the DW) said absolutely not! Glad you like your new chairs Bansai as much as I like my new chairs.

The Timber Ridge chairs from Costco are great. We pack them in our trailer every trip.
