Question 2005 jayfeather 29n

Hello. I have some questions about the Norcold refrigerator in my trailer. I bought this trailer last year I have had it out 6 times and after the first few trips the fridge stopped working just showed a n on the screen. So I took it to the dealer where I bought it and the told me that it went into a lock down. But refused to tell me how to reset it, incase this happened again while I was 400 miles from home. Well after paying the 4 hours of labor. We went out for a trip. During my trip I noticed that the batteries were dead. I being unwise in the way of trailer figured this may have been the problem with the fridge prior to our departure. So I replaced them. When I got home and plugged into power the fridge went into its N mode again. We live in Las Vegas and this happened during our 115 day. Any ideas on why it does this? Or how to reset it?

CONGRATULATIONS on the JAYCO!!!

...and WELCOME TO JOF!!! The members here are GREAT!!! There is a lot of GREAT information to be found here. I am sure that you will have information and pictures to share with us... so please do!!

Your Question....
Do you keep your TT plugged in to shore power (at home) while not in use? If not, do you disconnect the main 30 amp fuse at the battery, to keep it from discharging due to the electronics in the TT (CO detector, radio circuit, fridge control panel.... all use your battery 24/7 even when you do not have them on). Did you check the voltage on the new batteries when you got home. Are you dry-camping or hooked to shore power when camping. When you plug into shore power does the battery voltage increase to 13-14VDC? Is your TV charging while you are traveling?

Don
