2013 Jayco White Hawk 28 DSBH

Hello,

After camping for several years in a 'Convertible' travel trailer, my wife and I decided it was time to expand, as our family recently with a Foster Child.

We traded in our Palomino 21RGS and picked up our new White Hawk 28 DSBH.

The Dealer walk though was VERY thorough. We spent about 2 hours reviewing the entire coach, outside and inside. The only system that was skipped was the water system since the TT is still winterized. Michigan spring nights can still dip at or below freezing.

I've ordered a new supply of Purogene in lieu of using a bleach solution. The only thing that I'm not sure of is where is the water tank bypass valves and where the water pump is located. Can someone help?

Other than that, we are all excited to hit the road for our first camping trip of 2013.

James,

Congrats on the new 28DSBH and welcome to JOF. I took my 28DSBH on its maiden voyage and everything worked as it should, no issues. Although, it did take me a little longer to set it up, but I chalk that up to this being my first trip with a TT, I've only owned PUPs until now. Happy Camping.

Gary

Hey jamesj, congrats on your new purchase!

I just picked mine up and currently outfitting it for our first trip. Our walkthrough/PDI was extremely thorough and, somewhat like yourself, I've had some prior experience of RV ownership from my 7+ years of extensive pop-up camping (both dry and full hook-up).

The answer to your questions:

You'll find the waterheater beneath the bottom bunk, right up against the rear bulkhead. There's three valves there and you'll always want the two that lead directly to the water heater to be set the opposite of the one that connects the two lines.

The water pump can be found under the sink in the enclosed bottom portion. When you turn the pump on and run some water, you'll easily be able to trace the sound.

Happy Camping!!

Thanks for the info. I started to sanitize the fresh water system today, so this will get me finished up.

I already knew about the hot water cut-off system. My 21RGS had the same thing and I assumes this one would too.

Congrats on your new Tt too.

Lights in my 2013 Jayco White Hawk 28 DSBH

Hello,

I have a 2013 Jayco White Hawk 28 DSBH and I have a question about the light bulbs. Does anyone know what type light bulbs are in the canned lights above the sink? My bulbs do not have any print on them and I need to know what size, watts, and are they 12v or 120 so I can properly replace them. Thanks for your help! Happy Jayco Camping!!
