2014 White Hawk 20MRB on order - new to TTs from BC

We are awaiting delivery of our first TT - a 2014 White Hawk 20MRB. Two of us plus Black Lab. The Murphy Bed sold us on this - more living space in a TT that is only 24 ft bumper to hitch. We've towed heavy many times before (2 large horses in a steel trailer) so the TT behind our low mileage 2002 GMC 2500HD 4X4 should be fine.

We've never been campers so this is a new experience for us and is a tryout. Wanted to keep it smaller with something that will fit in the driveway. We like to travel with our pooch, want to explore Canada's and USA's vistas and are sociable folks so a TT seemed a perfect idea. We're working less than full time as we wind down so we'll ease into this with some short local trips to full service camping places and dip our toes into dry camping. Here in sunny south Surrey BC we're only 2 miles from the US border crossing at Blaine.

This is also our first time on any forum. What I want to look for in this forum is ideas about things like:
- additional equipment we might want to bring/buy (hoses, tools, generator etc etc)
- tips for packing the TT for the road
- tips for TT traveling with a pooch (love the idea of the outside shower on our TT)
- places to visit from the Vancouver area as starter trips

Any suggestions for places on this forum to visit re the above are most appreciated.

Here's hoping we enjoy this and we look forward to seeing some of you on the road.

Welcome I live in Abbotsford and travel down to the states frequently camping. If you want to do a local trip try Fort Langley camping. It is a nice park we will be there Easter weekend. We go to state parks when we go south, try Birch bay, Larrrabee, Deception Pass and Rasar. We trace with our dog all the time, she sleeps in a crate at night in the trailer, all parks that I know of require dogs to be on a leash at all times and not to be left alone in the campsite. There are some threads about what you need to get started with. You will get a starter kit with your trailer (I assume you bought at Travelland) that has pressure regulator valve and a water hose and sewer hose. That will be enough to get started with.
