29qbs thermal pkg

just picked up my 2015 jayflight 29qbs yesterday, so excited! the only thing im questioning now is my underbelly. i have the thermal pkg and its supposed to be enclosed but there are def openings in it. i figured with it enclosed it would help keep mice and such out but the way it is it might actually give them a better place to live! should i get under there and tape it up as best i can? is it supposed to be sealed?
thanks and cant wait to get it to the camp ground!!

Welcome to the forum....I would do it. My trailer was great with no openings. I went to check how my trailer wintered and saw no signs of mice, but I did not check thoroughly yet!

I camped early May last year and was fine, the furnace ran a lot but that is what its for, enjoy!

I think they are sealed about as much as possible for a production unit. I got under mine with some spray foam (in a can) and finished the job. My previous 5th wheel, which was supposed to be a premium product was not sealed as well as my Jayco.

our 28BHBE was not totally sealed up either.
crawled under with a couple cans of "pest resistant" spray foam and filled the gaps. on't forget to do the areas in the refridgerator compartment from the outside where the propane hose passes through. (deer mice can climb the fibreglass walls and the tongue jack. (ask me how I know this one...)
After sealing up the open spaces, no more mouse problems. BTW: they like PeanutButter Cups.
