A rhetorical question

Why are so many new members ashamed to indicate where they are from?

You know where we live and we're always up for a bite out or a visit at your campsite fire. When your on the road you don't have access to tools for those unforeseen problems that can just spring up and I think we're all here to help our friends just in case. Maybe we need a "Sticky" and I would be your 911 in The Bellingham, Wa. Area to offer any help that you might need during your travels.

I think many folks are protective of keeping stalkers from getting too much info on them.

We've no issues, come visit MONTANA!

I never knew how to do it[list where I was from] until I read the "sticky" about 4 months ago. Now look at me, I'm replying "with a quote". Still don't know how to paste a website to my replies even after reading about it. Computer illiterate I guess. I'll figure it out someday.

To copy and paste a website then post it:

right click on the web address you wish to copy at the top of the page of that link. then click on "copy".
In the reply to thread, click on the globe that will then say "link. Right click on "paste". This will insert the link. Click OK. It is now inserted in the post,- you`re done.

Yeah you can try it out in the "count to a million" thread. That`s one thread that cannot be hurt.

BTW I edited and simplified a bit my instructions above in previous post.

I was curious why so many responses to a "rhetorical question", but I'll bite...

I generally try not to share too much on a forum where information can be had publicly. Other than the NSA (I assume they're always watching), you never know who is going to try to mine your public information for nefarious purposes... Maybe I'm just paranoid, but whatever
