Almost an Empty Nester also :-)

Yep, one year away and out the door goes our last one. Bought a 2012 JayCo Eagle 322FKS two weeks ago and we are on our maiden voyage. Definitely a learning process and these forums are great sources.
I'm retired and the wife is a teacher. So if this summer and next goes well we hope to make the jump to a fifth wheeler. Biggest drawback are the two dogs our kids seem to have left with us. Presently we are shopping for a convenient vacuum for the trailer that's good on animal hair. ( now to find that magic lamp).

Don't count your chickens.... or empty bedrooms. My son became quite the 'homing pigeon' after getting his degree.

Welcome to the Forum. Plenty of nearly useful advice and lots of contradicting opinions. ;-)

Plus confessions on how we made this-or-that mistake that made the trip much more memorable!

Confessions?...well already got my first participation medal on the trailer's driving side while performing first camp lot parking act. .
Second day when leaving park trailer brakes weren't working and it was a Sunday. After a lot of unproductive manual reading I located a fuse near trailers battery. Celebrated when that was replaced and the problem was fixed!
