Howdy all, we are about to accept delivery of our second Starcraft, our third Jayco caravan, going 'Outback' this time. (2013 Outback 16.67-5 OB)
Pam and I retired 4 years ago and have spent around 5 months of each year touring around, most trips are between our home in Southern Queensland and visiting our grandkids in Sydney, a trip that will usually take us two weeks, cant hurry things nowadays.
In the past we have mostly always stopped in caravan parks but it seems that every time we do the nightly rates just continue to rise, paying over $30 for a site and a little bit of electricity and water doesn't give the taxpayers of Australia, our keepers, good value for money. Our new van is 'free camping' equipped but caravan park owners don't you despair 'cos we will still need to visit you occasionally to take looooooong hot showers and to cool down with our new roof mounted air-conditioning and to refill our two water tanks and to top up our batteries,
Oh, to the parks who now want us to stick a dollar in the park bbq's, we now have a 2400w 'banquet' sized electric frypan/griller, so guess what?
Hurry up you kids, get back to school, we want our highways back.
Cheers all,
Paul n Pam.
