Back to camping after approximately 30 years

Thanks for the add to this group. We started out tent camping around 1975, with our 2 little girls, for about 5 years. In 1981 we bought our 1st pop up to pull from "Almost Heaven", WV to Lowery AFB, Denver, CO to attend a 3 week school for my job at the 167th AW, Martinsburg, WV. We camped for several years at Myrtle Beach, VA Beach, Williamsburg and also utilized it during hunting season locally. We sold the pop up and left camping for about 30 years now. We recently sold our 2 classic muscle cars and decided to try camping again (much cheaper too). Retired for 18 years and in my late 60’s it’s no longer fun crawling in and under cars. I’m looking forward to being a part of the Jayco ownersand will probably have many questions. God bless y’all, Steve

WELCOME TO JOF!!!

The members here are GREAT!!! There is a lot of GREAT information to be found here. I am sure that you will have information and pictures to share with us... so please do!!

As most of us that have had muscle cars, we hit a point in life where crawling under them is no longer PAINLESS. As in my case (Username) I had a 65 Mustang that I restored to GT350 specifications. A few years ago, I came to realize that I could no longer do it. Here is the post that announced that we were separating:-(

Nice Stang. I like all the old, American made, cars but prefer Mopars.

Welcome back! We parted with our self-restored sweet '71 C10 to get deeper into RV life. I still find myself under the TV, DW's car, and the TT. I also fond myself on to of the TT, so I guess I haven't shaken the vehicle maintenance and repair toil. Like you, I hurt all over and dread the labor more and more.
