BMPRO Propane Sensors

I have a propane sensor on each of my two 24 lb tanks. One works great, always sinked and reading properly. The other only reads after sinking but only for a few minutes. What might be wrong? Do they have batteries that can be replaced? They are only about 4 months old.

My buddy had issues with these when he first ordered them (BMPro actually sent him a replacement, which didn't solve the issue). It worked briefly and then nada.

Turns out he had a high spot on the bottom of the propane tank, so the sensor wasn't maintaining proper contact. He moved the sensor a smidgen, and hasn't had a problem since.

I just ordered one off the BMPro website. Should have it by March 30. They will ship free to an authorized dealer or directly to you paid shipping.

Same. I really would prefer the bmpros vs. Mopekas so there is one less app to maintain. May break down and order them despoite being more expensive and less available than the Mopeka.

FYI...I was able to sync the BmProp propane sensors to both the BmPro tablet and their separate free app just for the sensors at the same time. The advantage of their stand alone app for the sensors is it goes by 1% increments...not by 1/8 1/4 etc.

That's great, any issues pairing the sensors?

looks like I will have buy the combo from Dyers and then a single more expensive sensor from BMPRO as I need 3 sensors.

Or buy two twin packs and put the 4th on your gas grill.

My reasoning as well for going with BMPro.

Lol, wouldn't you know it? We have 3 pellet grills at home, An additional one in the camper, and two charcoal grills. Yes, a collection of grills, I may need to see a shrink.

Ordered a twin pack from Dyers. BMPRO site hit me wrong, $20 shipping, twice that of Dyers, but free if shipped to a dealer.

No problem pairing.

I bought 4 sensors also...one stopped working right now and a new battery didn't help. I'll have to go after warranty at some point.

It's great having the sensors since I have the Onan generator too.

Mine were shipped in factory mode, here is a link to get them out of that mode and into normal operation. Factory mode will turn them off after a few minutes even when paired.
