Bought our first camper
Me and the wife purchased our first camper yesterday, it is a 2008 Jayco Jayflight G2 29BHS, i will be picking it up next weekend. We are not new to camping, we have been tent camping before and my family owns a campground. I thought it was time to start the kids camping as they are still young. We have 3 kids a 4 yo(girl), 3 yo(boy) and a 3 mth old(girl). Is there anything i should look for as far as problem areas of this particular model? Thanks for the help in advance.

Welcome to the forum, Sierra Mist! The 28 and 29bhs models are popular here on the forum and in general. There are no unusual problems specific to that model that I am aware of. Enjoy your new trailer.

To be honest id still be in a tent but the wife has had enough. It seems every time we have gone tent camping it is during some extreme weather; monsoon, heat wave just to name a few.

Welcome Sierra Mist and enjoy your new camper with the family...never to young to start with the kids. It will probably stay with them for the rest of their lives.
We did the tent camping also and enjoyed. The wife said, after the air went out of our mattress at 2am up in the Sierra's, that it was time for us to get off the ground and enjoy some amenities and we did.
We started with a 25' TT which was great and now the new 5ver later this week.

Well, the DW was not so "hip" on an RV especially after investing so much in our canvas and other items (Coleman stoves, lanterns, etc) but all it took was one camping trip in bear country with grandkids....that did the trick for her...I got the green light for the RV the next week.

Funny, same thing in my family. It took one trip in the sierras having a bear turn up in the camp ground one night and we were looking at TTs the next week.
Our friends in tents always tell me how a bear will make a tin can out of our TT, I remind them that will only happen after they have gone through all the tents first. :-)
Besides most of our tent camping supplies carry right on over to the RV. We still use our stoves, lanterns, EZ-Ups, etc all the time.
