Breaker Box Fan Running

So does this fan kick on and off frequently if the battery is charging?

On ours, yes, the fan on the converter typically runs when there is a little extra load on the batteries. We notice it when you flip on something with a little more draw than the small LED lights — like the bathroom vent fan or range light or hood fan. My batteries are normally at full voltage, so they don’t take a lot of charging from the converter.

Yes, it is perfectly normal for the converter fan to cycle on/off based on demand if you are plugged in to shore power and there is load on the 12-volt system. This could be charging the batteries, running 12-volt lights, etc.

The only thing to be concerned about is if the fan seems to run constantly. That would be an indication of a weak battery/batteries of some other issue in the system.
