Ahhh, cooking and smoke alarm alerting the neighboring campers that a meal is being prepared. Every morning, I have my toast and coffee. I like my toast a light brown, but it never fails to set off the smoke alarm which happens to be about 5' from where the toaster sits on the kitchen counter. For awhile I would keep the kitchen towel in my hand waiting to spin it around the smoke detector as soon as it started beeping. Work's GREAT, but it is a pain. One morning I had the thermostat set for just the fan to run, low and behold, NO SMOKE ALARM. Now, I walk over to the thermostat while the coffee is being made, turn on the fan and put the bread in the toaster. All last summer after implementing the new process, NO SMOKE ALARAM!! Why it took so long to figure this one out is beyond me.

My TT has a "shhhsh" button on the smoke alarm, it wont stop it from going off again 2 min later but it lets me stop the noise long enough to turn the fan on
