Checking in from Southeast AZ

Hello all! Thanks for having me. We are a family of six that started our tow behind camping about a year and a half ago. That was in a 2017 Jayco 12 SC pop up. Unfortunately there were problems with it even the Jayco dealer couldn’t remedy.

So last week we “traded” the pop up for a 2019 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 264BHW.

I was drawn here because I pick up the new TT Wednesday and make our first trip Friday. It will also be our first dry camp attempt. I’m a little nervous but have already learned so much reading here. It has definitely helped calm me down. I am certain we will learn a great deal in this first trip. The plan is to take it easy and not push anything too hard.

Anyway, great site with incredible info for us newbies!!!

Thanks everyone! We are hopeful that this Jayco will be a much better experience. I didn’t really mind the labor intensive setup/break down of the pop up. The main issue was water, as in rain, leaking into the camper while closed, on the road or parked. Anyway, hopefully on to better things.

Thanks again!
