Lightbulb Differences in Pulling 27' 7.5 Wide travel trailer with 27 DSRL 31' 8' wide?

We currently pull an 08 Flagstaff 26 DS 27' long x 7.5 wide and go overboard using a Hensley Hitch, which we like. It is easy to pull with our 2014 F150 Supercrew 145" WB 3.5 EcoBoost 9400# TR. Question is, we would like one a little bigger and the WH 27 DSRL has caught my eye as well as FR Surveyor 265 RLDS.
1. How much harder to pull thru construction zones, heavy traffic will the 31'x8' vs 27' 7.5' be?
2. Do you like spread axles on WH?
3. Any comments appreciated on the two models above that have caught my eye.
4. Lastly, we leave OK in January to go to S TEX and get in some 30-40 degree weather with some wind chill, will WH be insulated enough with polar pack to be comfortable?

Thanks, Okie Joe

Welcome to the forum.

BTW, once upon a time, many years ago, we lived west of you in Ponca City.

Welcome!

1. We're at 8' wide, and though I can't compare towing experiences as this is our first TT, we've had no issues with construction sites, heavy traffic, etc. IMO, take it slowly until you're comfortable with the differences and you'll be good to go.

2. I like the wide stance axles as I think they balance the load better across the trailer frame. They do tend to make a racket when making a tight turn though

4. We have the enclosed underbelly and glacier package and were comfortable on the few cold nights we were out. Once the TT had reached temperature the furnace didn't kick on anywhere close to as often as I though it would.
