DVD hookup

I have a 2014 Greyhawk and am having trouble getting a DVD player to play the on the Jensen JE 2814 TV. Everything seems to hook into an AVS 050 HD box. I was shown the connection spot for a DVD player, but I can't get it to play on the TV. Is it true you must have a Jensen DVD player to play on a Jensen TV?

Not sure if you ever got an answer, but I don't think there is any limit on compatibility.

On my new 5er, the standard RCA outputs from the Jensen radio/ DVD player was horrible ( static in the video )

I bought a short HDMI cable, and used that output from the Jensen DVD to the input on the TV. Set TV to Aux1

Looks great.

I also took the audio out from the TV , using RCA cables, and took that back to the audio input on the jenson radio, so I get surround sound when just using the TV tuner.
