Fenton Michigan here!

First time posting in this section (I think...lol) but not first post in the forum. Wife and 2 teen step daughters and myself are currently nearing the end of our five week cross country camping trip in our rented Jayco 264BH. We have a Jayco Popup, but my wife wanted nothing to do with it for this long of a trip. I have to admit that I'm glad we rented as the pop up as no A/C and for most of our trip, we've seen temps near 90/100+F. From 35F to 119F, rain, hail, sun, fog, lightning, to stars, you name it.

Except for a few minor issues, (the roof peeling and the bathroom door lock jamming), the TT has met our needs. Its been through the Corn Palace, Wall Drug, Yellowstone, the RedWoods, San Fran, Santa Kruz, LA, San Diego, Grand Canyon - we've seen a lot, had a ton of fun and not ready for the trip to be over.

So glad I found this site months ago and greatly appreciated all of the advice!!

Glad you posted here! Sound like a good trip. Mirrors some of the trips I had as a kid with my parents, but we did the pop up with no air (nothing but beds lol)

we did the same kind of trips Tafische! Each time my brothers and I received our driving permits, we'd head west on a major summer camping trip. My dad was a principal so he had the summers off and we would end in San Diego (family there) and than head back east. Each time taking a different route. Pop Up. Full Size Van. Parents and three boys. What a blast that was, just like this trip has been.
