First Camp Trailer

Hello All,
After many disappointing summers in 2 used tent trailers, my wife and I stumbled on a gently used 2003 Jayflight 21FB within our extended family and bought it. We've just returned on our second trip from British Colombia and have no complaints. We live in Colorado and plan on taking numerous 3 and 4 day weekends throughout the year to see our beautiful State. I remember talking to a salesman a couple of years ago and he said you can go up to the mountains in the winter (don't un-winterize your trailer) and camp at RV parks. That seems a little dicey for me, driving up the Rocky Mountains in winter-has anyone done it? Any tips?
Regards,
G_man
