First Time Owner - ‘18 32bhds

Howdy everyone!

My family and I recent brought home a ‘18 32bhds and we are first time travel trailer owners. We have been prepping for our first trip and getting set up. I recently sanitized my fresh water system with the recommended bleach solution but read (after the fact) that I should’ve removed the water filter before doing so (oops...1st of many mistakes) but I’ve scoured the internet and the manual and there is no mention of the location anywhere. Does anyone know where it is located on this model and what damage I might’ve done by not removing the filter? Thanks much for the help

I don't have your model and being from Michigan and you from Maryland, we're both already after sunset so without a flashlight, you won't get far. They generally are found under or near the kitchen sink since that's the location for drinking water or cooking water. Perhaps, someone with your model will chime in and tell you more specifically but that's where you ought to start.

As far as filter damage, you may have reduced or eliminated some of its capabilities and removing other undesirable elements in the water. Essentially, you've probably shortened it's usable life and it may leave a stronger chlorine taste in your water for a bit if you are one to drink from the spigot in your TT.

Thanks a lot Jerry! I figured as much regarding damage and lingering chlorine taste but just wanted to make sure.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new camper!

I have a 2017 and I do not have a built in filter. I suspect that you don't either. I think that you'll find the owners manual is quite generic.

Cheers,

Jeff.

Congrats we are really enjoying ours. We jumped in as first timers with the 32bhds and have had great luck so far.

Glad to hear that it’s treating you well. Have you mounted any additional TV’s in the bunkhouse or the outside kitchen?

Yes we put one in the bunkhouse with a wallmount bracket from walmart, it has traveled fine. We have not mounted any outside. I keep the feet for the bunkhouse tv handy and set it on folding table if we want to watch a football game by the fire.

Glad to hear it has traveled well. I was nervous about mounting a TV b/c I was knocking around and didn’t hear anything solid to mount it to I.e. stud
