First trailer - 2016 Eagle HT 29.5BHDS on order!!!

This is my first trailer and after many hours of research, and visits to trailer shows and dealers it seemed clear Jayco was the way to go. My family has camped a lot but always in other family members trailers. With grandkids on the way it was time to get our own. Found a small family owned Jayco dealer and believe we picked the perfect trailer for our needs. Originally planned to get a Hybrid and tow it with my Grand Cherokee. But after even more hours of research I bought an 04 F350 diesel so we could go larger, and feel safer.

For now we'll mainly be doing weekend trips around New England. Plan on doing longer trips over the years and after retirement. Thrilled to be a member of the Jayco family and can't wait to see trailer which should be in early June.

I've been looking through this site but would greatly appreciate any tips for a newbie.

Rick

Welcome to the site Rick. Stay tuned and you will get lots of tips here. We are not new to camping either, but I have learned a ton of stuff just by surfing this site. Lots of good people out there with a wealth of information. We haven't had our camper out of the driveway yet this year but I've already done some things to it that I learned on here. (I've also NOT done some things to it that I learned on here!!)

Welcome to JOF.

My advice is to enjoy the rig and don't spend a small fortune on things you may find are nice to have but you don't need.

As you camp, you will quickly find out what you need and what you can do without.
