Smile Funny story

Well hello all! I can't wait to dive into the forums and learn from you! But I thought I'd share this funny (at least to me) story.

We bought our first camper 2 weeks ago...a 1996 Jayco Designer 3030 RK. Nice little 5th wheel at a decent price.
Needed a good cleaning, but we thought a great, inexpensive way to start out. We knew it had a little water damage and needed a new roof...eventually.

Took it into our local dealer this past Monday to have the slide seal replaced. And then decided to "browse" through the used lot. Oh boy.

We pick up our 2010 Jayco Designer 35 RLTS next Wednesday. Sound crazy?

What can I say...when the dealer gives you more than what you paid for trade-in value, a heck of a deal for the end of the season, and the peace-of-mind that we don't have to worry about the thing nickel-and-diming us to death...what else could we do?

:hihi:

Now that is a good story, and I believe all the planets were lined up just right for it all to happen like it did for you. Welcome to Jayco Owners Forum. You are getting off to a good start.

Love it! We recently traded our Jayco pop up for a 30 footer. We paid 8000 for the pop up new 3 years ago and dealer gave us 6000 for trade. Love how some campers hold their value.
Welcome to the party.

If you like your 35 RLTS as much as I like mine, you will be a happy camper.

Did I just say that.........BAD!

I do love my 5'er and have lived in it full time for just over two years now.

Our first travel trailer 1997 Terry 40 tt we bought used in 2003 for 7K. Stored it at the beach for 8 years and the roof leaked ac quit, slideout didn't work. I didn't know what to do, the roff was almost caved it in the rear and the beds were wet, so we got $3500 on a trade in haha. I thought we were going to have to sell it for scrap metal.

Thanks all! It is amazing that they do hold their value. I felt a little guilty and kept reminding the salesman that we hadn't even taken a trip in it yet (prompting my hubby to stick his elbow in my ribs to say "shhhh!")

So edatlanta, I can bug you if we have any questions about ours??? lol
