Giving up tent camping
We sold our Keystone trailer in 2013 and went back to tent camping and now with purchase of our new 2016 SLX 174BH we hope to be doing alot more camping again.

We do both Tent camping and POPUP trailer camping all the time. Somtimes at the same time haha...
I always carry my tent camping gear along with us... We don't really sleep on the ground anymore... Long time ago we found the folding tent beds where you slip in a air mattress... Been using them for a long time... These fold up in a neat tote bag...

we still like to tent camp. It takes a couple of days to get to Lake Superior and trailer camp along the way.
Then stash the trailer, pack the kayaks with tent and sleeping bags and backpacking airmattresses and go kayak camping for ten days.

We tent camped till purchasing our x23B in Oct 2014..
Of course now my almost 10yr old wants to join boy scouts. First campout is June 4-5.
Looks like I'm heading back to a tent. Good think I didn't get rid of it!

Congrats on the new Jayco and welcome to the forum! Bear in mind that negatives are much more prevalent than positives when it comes to public forums. I think the odds are probably in your favor of having a pretty good unit. We picked up a new 195RB Baja last year and in general have found it to be fairly well done. A few minor warranty items but no major issues and over 6K miles towed so far. Best of luck to you and happy camping!

Thank You, yea i take the negatives lightly, there are obviously alot more positives or this group probably wouldnt exist. We are new to Jayco but have had a cpl other units in the past and they all have issues..
