Glad to have found a forum home!

Want to say hey from central Indiana. My family and I have been searching for a camper that would fit us for the last 2 years, so in those years I have spend an absurd amount of time on forums which some I'm an active member on. We finally pulled the plug on a used 2014 jay flight 28bhbe. It is going to work great for my family of 5. Only downside is we will have to stare at it in the driveway until next spring. But I am happy to be a Jayco owner and look forward to being a member of this forum! God bless.

Why stare at it? Use it. South Indiana has some great camping weekends all winter long. Sure you might not want to use the bathroom in the new camper if it has been winterized, but it's easy to rewinterize if you want to use everything. Check out the many YouTube videos. Winter camping can be great fun and instill great memories in the entire family. My kids still talk of winter camping in Alaska! Or come on down to Land Between the Lakes, Piney Campground is keeping one loop open all winter, 50 amp electric . We use our camper year round here in North Tennessee. No bugs, not near as much sweat, just a better time.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new Jayco.

X2 on the idea of using it all winter. Heck, I'm not ashamed to admit it, we driveway camp quite often. The kids love it. We throw a little portable fire pit out in front, toast some marshmallows, and have a great time.

Welcome from South Central Indiana. Brown County State park has an all weather water spigot to fill your tank if we're lucky enough to get a nice stretch of weather sometime this winter. Not likely though the way it's starting out, lol.
Beautiful park as I'm sure you've been there. Best of luck with your new to you Jayco.

Welcome from a fellow Hoosier! I’ve driven through New Palestine many times. Driveway camp in that bad boy and get super familiar with all the utilities so when Spring hits your already an expert. Turn it into your Winter “Man Cave”

Welcome to the forum from Midway USA. We live in Kansas and went camping for our anniversary in mid-November last year, then again the first weekend of the this year. It's ultimately up to the weatherman, but if it looks like the temps will be in the mid-40s or above we'll go for a weekend.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I love the driveway camp idea. With my 2 oldest in school, Holidays coming up, and work schedule I don't know if we can haul it out somewhere. But fortunitaly we live in the county so we would have no problem doing a bonfire at home and enjoying it in the driveway. Also brown county is great! Grew up tent camping there every year! Stay safe everyone!
