Smile Going to Pick Up My New Hummingird!

I will be driving to Byron, GA in 4 days to get my new Hummingbird 17RK as a first time owner! Any suggestions for this newbie on the walk-thru? They are also installing a wireless back-up camera and I hope they position it correctly. And sway bars~but I didn't ask what brand, etc~as I don't know what to ask? Cost of sway bars is a discounted $179 without weight distribution as I was told that I did not need weight dist with a dry weight of 2910.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on getting a Jayco! If you do a search on the forum for pre delivery inspection (PDI), you will find many threads with checklists for doing the PDI. Here is one such thread. The need for a weight distribution system will depend on your tow vehicle's capability. Also, read up all you can on the forum and watch as many Youtube videos about RVing as you can. Have fun!

Check the interior lights, the early lights had stickey on/off switches. There are round with a push button switch in the middle. Test them all out! Enjoy you new TT.

Congrats!! BY far the best thing you can do is be thorough with the PDI. Make sure you understand how every system works and ensure that it is is in good working order.

Congrat! We love our 17RK.

I'd have them run the refrigerator on propane for sure.

We couldn't get ours to light when we went to pick up our 17RK, the tech finally figured out that someone had left the little flame inpection port door open so the pilot kept blowing out.
