Goodbye pop up, hello HTT!

"Added another mouth to the litter" so we decided that it was time to move on from the Coleman Santa Fe and on to either an HTT or TT. Kicked around buying a new Bobcat for a bit and decided that I was going to learn from my mistakes on the Coleman and not buy another new camper. My stars aligned and a man that had a 2007 Jayco 19H was downsizing his trailer and wanted my Coleman. Worked the deal and ended up giving him my trailer and $2200 for his trailer. Could not be happier as a local dealer has the same Jayco on the lot for almost $15k. Payoff was high on my Coleman as we only had it for a year, I have about $12k into the trailer total, would have had more at a dealer as they were only offering around $6500 in trade on top of a higher asking price and tax.

My new Tundra doesn't even feel it back there, but the gas tank sure knows. Anyway, enough talk and more pics!

The last time I hitched up to the Coleman. Makes me a little sad, it was a great trailer.

Rear end sagged about 1-1.5" with the trailer on and 10psi in the airbags. I can go up to 100psi in them, I think at about 20psi it will sit with the factory rake (truck is lifted 3/1.5 and keeps a bit of rake)

I also have a small concern. On the lower passenger side front wall I found a small area about the size of a fist that feels "soft". I initially though delamination, but I do not think that is what it is. It does not bubble out, more of a sunken in spot like a dent on a door. I think something must have hit it at some point and damaged the wall behind the fiberglass. I tried to see it but there is a small board I will have to remove that does not allow access to the back of the front wall. Should I be concerned or just leave it as is? The previous owner said he noticed it a few years ago after a trip but did not think much of it so never looked into it further. Thanks guys!

Welcome to the forum. That trailer looks to be well kept and the owner even did some mods for you like the toolbox on the front! Try posting a pic of the damaged area in the TT forum, perhaps someone can help with that.

Good looking trailer. I just went from Coleman PU to jay Feather 165 sport.
I wish I could have gone a little bigger, but my 4Runner would do it.
Yep, would be a good idea to investigate the best you can. I would check any sealant in the area too make sure everything is intact.
My sister has a HTT and she has had a couple issues with water around the bed ends.
Hopefully it was just a stray ball or something.

Congratulations on the trailer. The Colemans are very nice popups indeed, but it's hard to beat having that much room! The new trailer looks really clean, the previous owner seems to have taken good care of it. Now go put some miles on those tires!

Nice looking unit! I like the box! Question where is the propane tank(s) and the battery(s) go? The box seams a little small to fit the tanks.

We also went from a PU to a Jayco Sport165. A good move. Your rig looks terrific.
What does HTT stand for?

Thanks guys. It has dual 6V batteries inside the trailer and dual propane tanks in the box. Also running solar to keep the batteries floated.

Nice setup. Following you Tundra built log over on Tundra talk. I have the CM and 19H also.

Depending on what you put in the bed, with my kids, the best thing I did was put the front receiver on to put a bike carrier. That was with my BAK Flip cover, I can put just about anything else in the there and still bring all the bikes I want and have plenty of room.

Also, the tow mirrors are a great investment.

This is the same floorplan as the Forest River Shamrock 19 that I just traded in. It's a good floorplan. Cozy but roomy enough too with the beds extended. Mine was a really great hybrid and it was our first camper that got us into the whole camping thing. I bet you all will love this trailer.

brockeverly - I really like the tool box on the front of your camper. We also had a SantaFe that we traded up to the 17Z model, which is very similar in floorplan, We've had ours 7 months and love it.

My husband has been talking about a toold box up front like what you have. What is inside the box? Can you fit both propane tanks and the battery? and still have room for some tools?

Very sharp and looks like you got a great deal with the trade! I really like the tool box, large side window and ARE Outlaw II wheels. Question though, are those General Grabber tires rater for the weight/temps for use on a TT?
