Greetings from Abilene!

Hello All,

We are new to RV'ing and recently purchased a 2014 Jay Flight Swift 30' 265 RLS. It came with some pretty decent upgrades (15K BTU A/C, Tub/shower combo, electric awning, and power tong jack) and have used it once and loved it. Looking any tips/tricks for that model and if there is anything to be on the look out for. Can't wait to get to use it on a decent trip. Thanks in advance for the help!

-Ryan

Ryan,

Greetings from Midlothian, Texas!!

We have a Crewmax too. Was wondering the GVWR on your TT and how the Tundra towed it.
Also, what hitch are you using? We are looking at the White Hawk 33BHBS.

Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on your new TT.

We have a Jay Flight on order with a floorplan that is very similar to yours. Like you, we're anxious start using ours. We have a new grandson on the way this spring so we plan to begin our trips in the summer with a stop at Disney World (Fort Wilderness) in the fall.

There are MANY valuable tips on this site. I am new to this forum, too, and just spent days reading through many topics posted over the past couple of years - especially the 'Tech Talk.' From the topics, I created a long list of things to do, NOT to do, and things to think about.

Two of the great things about this forum are the willingness of the members to help those that have questions and the respect members show to everyone.

Again, welcome.

The tundra pulls the RV like its not even there for the most part. The TT weight is right around 6.5K. In regards to tow hitch, I do not know the brand as it came with the RV, I do know it is heavy duty, leveling, and has the sway bars which are great!

Congratulations on your new TT, and Welcome to The Forum! I started reading all the posts/threads even before I joined up. I found a lot of valuable info that helped me avoid a lot of mistakes. Of course, I've still managed to make quite a few, and the folks on The Forum have always been there when I needed help.

Enjoy your new toy, and Happy Camping!
