Greetings from Chicago

Hello, all.
I am about to be gifted an ancient 24 footer, essentially abandoned, outdoors for several years. I've not seen it yet so may pass even for free.
If it is dry and will roll I'll probably drag it home.
Being completely new to this I'll have lots of questions, I'll try to have too many stupid ones.
I'm handy with tools and not afraid to get dirty.
Looing forward to getting to know you here.
Cheers,
Ross

Hi Dusty,
My investment will consist of more labor than cash. It remains to be seen if this is worth having at all.
I'm well familiar with money pit projects and am(perhaps) going into this with my eyes wide open. You may need to remind me I've said this one day.
There is a comedic component to this camper, if it becomes mine, I'm successful in making it useable and we pull into a campground with it, it will raise a few eyebrows.
I'm saving that part.
