Thank you all!

Glad to see some more Buckeyes here!
We spent our first weekend out, last weekend, at Mohican Wilderness in Loudonville. Love it there, we go at least twice a year minimum. Heading out this weekend for the first time to Hocking Hillls! Staying at the State Park. Looks like it is going to be great weather!
So far, only a couple things 'flawed' with my new camper...all minor though. We love it! We have a 1997 Nomad, so it was a huge upgrade! Thanks again for the welcome!

You will love Hocking Hills! You won't fit all of the sites into one trip, so take your time and enjoy the areas that you are able to take in. Save the rest for other trips. Not sure if you have kiddos, but little ones need to be watched closely. Don't mean to scare, just a heads up.

We absolutely LOVED Hocking Hills! We stayed at the State Park Campground. It was so peaceful!

We fit in all but 2 of the sites...we hiked over ten miles! Such a beautiful place! I have one kiddo, lol, but he's 31 and went with us...he loved it, too!!! We will definitely be going back!

Any recommendations on your favorite places to camp in Ohio? We are located south of Medina, and 3 hours max is probably as far as I want to drive lol.

I've heard great comments about Nimisila in your area. We are partial to the State Parks with lakes and good sized rivers for kayaking and canoeing. Check out https://ohiostateparks.reserveamerica.com if you haven't already. Westbranch and Guilford are close to you. Mohican is a must, but tough getting into on weekends as we do. Weekdays shouldn't be too bad if you're able to go then.

We have enjoyed Dillon State Park, a great base to explore the Zanesville and Newark areas; near Newark there are fascinating Native American earthworks.

We also like Barkcamp State Park near St. Clairsville; a great jumping off point to visit the Wheeling, WV area.

Regarding Nimisila very near me, it does still have a campground but it is no longer a State Park. It was transferred to the Summit Metro Parks and is now under their care. They have a limited number of electric sites but no drinking water or showers. Here is a link: https://www.summitmetroparks.org/camping.aspx
