Greetings from SE AZ

Hi Everyone! We finally are up off the air mattresses of various tents and into a Jayco Hummingbird. We have been out a few times already and find it to be just the right size for the two of us and our dog. Fortunately, we had a Chevy Express 3500 left over from a previous business venture and can tote all our "stuff" in the van after removing most of the seats. We look kind of strange with a tow vehicle that is larger than the trailer, but it works for us. I look forward to interacting with all of you, both on this forum, and out there in the wild, wide world.

Greetings from NE of you and SW of the virtual center

Welcome! This is a fine group.

You should head up this way for some amazing camp grounds and boon docking areas. Just don't tell anyone else that Arizona has green forests and beautiful high country!

Vans make excellent tow vehicles. A lot of the people towing with a SUV would be better off with a van. Its just that vans (full sized ones) are usually not as plush as an SUV.

Welcome aboard from King George VA...

We lived in the Tempe AZ Area working at a Space Surveillance Site near Maricopa AZ back in the 70s and continued to come to the AZ area up into 2010 when I finally retired.

Don't knock TENT CAMPING too bad. I loved doing that back North of the Phoenix area up the Apache trail and all over the high country south of I40...

Usually traveled with a couple other Tent Campers and we all pulled a Utility Trailer with all of our camping gear in it... Had many many great times doing for a few years while we lived there. The Indian Ruins NE of Flagstaff where great places to go...

We finally got off the ground with our present day 2008 Starcraft 14RT OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer. We still tent camp as well haha... Never got the urge to become the RV TRAVELER...

My love is still waking up creekside somewhere with bon-fire going drinking a fresh ground and brewed cup of Bean Coffee watching the Fish jump in the stream hehe...

Greetings from Las Vegas, Nevada and congratulations on the Hummingbird. You've come to the right place to get help on questions you may have and learn from the experiences of others.
