Happy to be a new owner!
First off I would like to say how excited we are to be owners of our new TT! We have been thinking about upgrading from our Aliner pop up for a couple years and we finally did it! We got out buyers check from the bank yesterday and our trailer will be ready for pick up on Monday. I'm having diamond plate put on the lower front end for extra protection and a few minor upgrades done or else I already have it! I have learned sooo much about Jaycos just by reading the posts on this site and cant wait to start adding my two cents.

Quahog, we have a 3 day trip planned at South Llano river SP. We have been making that a long weekend destination ever since we got our little pop up 3 years ago. Now we're really looking forward to staying in our new TT! Great little park with a river to swim in on hot west Texas summer days.

Sounds like a nice park. I looked it up on:

Hard to take that you guys are still dealing with the drought. Last year, we had fire bans all summer it seemed. Now they've been lifted. We like to go to Brazos Bend SP in Needville, TX. It's about 50 miles from our home but what a beautiful park. The only downside is it's the home of the American Alligator so we don't do much swimming there. LOL

Is that picture from the SP??????!!!!!! I don't blame you for not swimming!
The drought last year was absolutely horrible. All of our lakes are still very low and I have several co-workers who lost their homes in the Bastrop fire. HOWEVER, it's been raining for 2 days straight now and as I type this message I can hear the rain falling outside! I'm hoping that this summer will be a much better for camping, plus our Texas parks were hit really hard last year because hardly anyone visited the parks.

It is indeed a photo from the SP. There's one area called Horseshoe Lake that I have spotted 20-30 gators just lying still in the water or basking along the shore. They usually don't bother you but there are warnings not to approach and some of them bad boys are BIG!
What a real tragedy Bastrop SP was... of something like 6k acres, only something like 100 didn't burn. We had plans to go there too but it will be many years before that place is back in business for camping.
