Hello

Hello, Newbie here. We bought our first TT,a 2017 33RBTS, in October. We've had it out a few times. Just going to close areas for now as I have not been able to control sway as well as I would like. My TV is a 2015 Ford F-150, which I believe is most of my sway issue. Thank you for having me in the group!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

I think you've got the sway issue figured out: That's a L-O-N-G trailer for a F-150.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new Jayco! I agree with oldmanAZ, that seems like a long trailer for an F150. How do the weights of the trailer measure as compared to the capacities of your truck? Do you use a weight distribution hitch with sway control? Post some pics when you have a chance, we love to see them. Happy camping!

I am using the Eaz Lift WDH and sway bars. Yes bars. Left and right side. Truck pulls it great power wise, just sway issues. Of course both dealers said it wouldn't be a problem.

I am pulling a 27.5 foot toy hauler weighing about 7,500 pounds with a 2015 F150 with max tow package and Ecoboost using an old Husky weight distribution hitch and 2 sway bars. The sway bars are the sliding type from Harbor Freight for about $50 each. Adding the second bar and tightening them as much as I can made a big difference. The other thing that made a big difference was changing the truck tires to LT load range E tires. I was surprised what a difference the tires made with getting pushed around. The F150 is a light truck. And yours is a long trailer for that truck.

Last summer I towed my camper to Colorado from Florida and it was a pleasure. But I did decide that if I went to any larger of a trailer I would have to upgrade to a 3/4 ton.

Good luck

I put load range E's on my 150 and it was a noticeable improvement.

Congratulations and welcome to the group! I tow a 28BHBE with my 2016 F150 - I use an Equalizer 12K WDH, and I upgraded my tires to load Range E. I do have some minor sway issues but only under very certain circumstances. don't want to get in to the 1/2 ton debate here but do some searching and you will find countless threads on the topic.
