Hello Everyone of JOF from NE Ohio!

Hello everyone of JOF! I'm Derek from NE ohio, city called Ashtabula, just east of Cleveland.

This past weekend we picked up a 1985 Jayco 1008 SG. It needs some TLC but nothing that cant be taken care of to make a decent 1st PUP.

Upon getting it home we scrubbed the outside, removed all old caulk from roof vent and resealed. I have a patch kit on order to repair a spot in the canvas, ordered little things like a new tail light, awning light, new modern overhead lights, propane parts and some other things the past few days. Gonna be taking the icebox out and swapping in a dorm style fridge. Also had to fix up some wiring issues, and still have a few other repairs and cleaning up of the wiring on the outside. someone had put in an old tape deck and 2 6x9's in which i swapped to an alpine CD player and a decent pair of 6x9's are on the way. anyway as you can probably get alot of other little things to do to make it ours.

Ill be posting alot in the threads here about some input on different things i want to do. I look forward to learning and reading and talking to new people here.

Fun job planned. Welcome to the forum. I've had 2 pop-ups and loved them. Pulled last one with my Wrangler and loved hitting the forest roads every chance I got.

Keep us posted on how it goes.
