I'm new here and the the RV world.
4 weeks ago my wife and I bought a used 2010 Starcraft Travelstar 175 RK.
We just spent our first weekend in York Maine at Libby's right on the Ocean and we loved it.
We have a 4 year old son and he was are biggest reason for finally buying a camper, and he can't stop talking about it.
This is a great site. I used the info on setting up a WD Hitch and I think I got it set up pretty well. (only 1/4" rise in front)
My TV is a 2006 Explorer V8 w/ tow package. On the trip out I had too much weight in the truck and it was alittle scary at times, but on the
way home we loaded the trailer more and it was way better on the way home. The site next to me had a 19h pulled by a Ford Escape and I figured I needed
to man up or load my setup better.

That 19h/ Escape outfit is trouble. The 19h weighs 3475( empty, no dust, no nothing) and the tow capacity on the Escape is 3500 if it has the tow package. I can see where the old saying F-ound O-n R-oad D-ead may come into play. Larry

Hey Larry its me, Rich Bortz.
Yea that Escape was very nose high even with a WD hitch. I was thinking it had 3500 at most too. They were from Canada, so they had a long drive ahead.
