Hello from Austin!

Hello fellow campers! DW, DD1, DD2 and I recently took delivery on our New TT.

I love the abbreviations I 'm sure you can tell!

We stepped up from a '10 Coachmen Clipper 106ST PUP to Jayflight SLX 264BHW. We've christened her The Ark, not because we plan on taking 2 of each animal, but because she was purchased to avoid the rain. We'd had a weekend trip planned with DW parents for a few weeks and the forecast kept upping the chances of storms and torrential downpours. By Thursday morning it had become pretty certain that I was going to be dealing with wet canvas. Then, I turned to DW with a Brilliant Idea! Let's go buy a TT! After her initial shock, she agreed and off we went. Less than 24hrs later we were leaving town with the DW's parents behind us on the maiden voyage of The Ark!

Glad to be here and look forward to many years of camping fun!

Welcome from Kansas City! My DW also had the initial shock when we bought our TT but she loves it now. Hope you have a great trip!

Congratulations! and welcome to The Forum! I made the jump from tent to trailer about 13 years ago to avoid the cold during fall hunting seasons. THS is right! Any excuse is a good one. However, now you don't have an excuse not to go camping! So get out there and enjoy!

Welcome to JOF. I took my wife tent camping in bear country for 5 years to try to convince her we needed a 5er. That idea didn't work till the grandkids start going...that did the trick. I bought a bunkhouse model and now we don't worry about being bear bait anymore.

Thanks for the warm welcome! As for getting out and enjoying it, currently I'm sitting out under the awning enjoying the nice "fall" weather we're having in Central Texas.
