Hello from Central Ca.

We new 2017 Jayco Feather. Can 't wait to make our first trip. Does anyone know if a pre-camping list (general stuff) has been developed? I know we're gonna forget something.

CONGRATULATIONS on the JAYCO!!!

...and WELCOME TO JOF!!! The members here are GREAT!!! There is a lot of GREAT information to be found here. I am sure that you will have information and pictures to share with us... so please do!!

DW has a complete check list (4 pages) that we check item by item. Part of the list is a last minute check list for closing up the house.... setting thermostat to vacation mode... re-do alarm settings.. unplug/disconnect Televisions/stereos (frequent lightning storms)... turn off city water.... drop the trash in the neighbors trash containers... have the neighbors park their extra car(s) on the driveway.... LOCK the doors (neighbor interrupted me once and almost left for 2 months without locking the front door)

Sequoia RV Ranch in Three Rivers would be a great place, very close to Exeter, that you can make a few "getting familiar" trips. They offer full hookups, and very close to Visalia and numerous RV businesses in case you realize you forgot something.

Normally I would suggest taking advantage of their swimming hole in the river, but i assume the water would be way to fast and cold with all of the snow this year.

I have that model on order. We found a few locally but wanted it configured the way we wanted it. I like the two doors and Murphy bed - makes it brighter and roomier for some reason. How do you like it so far?
