Hello from Dublin Ohio.

Hi, my name is Alan, my wife of 35 years is Karen.

Ive been camping for almost 60 years now Ive camped in tents but mostly trailers starting in my parent's 1957, 17' Lincoln. As a kid my family would venture out every year to see this great nation of ours. We would take 2 to 3 weeks at a time to hit new areas of the country. We once estimated that the lincoln camper had over 50,000 miles on it. I can say that i have put foot down in every state of the US except Alaska. You should be able to guess at least one thing in my bucket list. While growing up, camping and traveling was the most important thing in our lives during the summer months vacation from school. I have camped at many of our country's most revered national parks, yet my favorite camp grounds and most recently camped, is Cook Forest in north west Pennsylvania. A mere 3 hour drive from my childhood town of Mentor Ohio. Cook Forest state park is one of only a handful of still Virgin timber parks in America. The grounds, trails, towns, and people of that area still remain to me as one of the best places in the world to visit.

Karen and I just placed a deposit on a Jay Feather X17A hybrid. Its being built this month and we can't wait to get it on the road. I'm excited just thinking about camping with it and finding new adventures and meeting new campers.

Alan

Congratulations on the new purchase.
I am down in Southwest Ohio.
Loved camping PA last year. That state has a lot to offer.

Welcome to the forum. Great folks here.
Pull up a chair and make yourself at home.

Best regards,
Doug

I just looked at your unit style online. It has a really nice big dinette… great for watching movies, and also great if your stuck inside in the rain.
Welcome to the forum..

Hello from Dublin Ohio.

Alan / Karen, congrats on your purchase from another Northeast Ohioan. There is an upcoming popup rally in Cook Forest towards the end of June 2014, it is still being planned so nothing set in stone yet. The 17 is a nice unit, we have the slightly larger 20. Any questions ask a way!
