Hello From Long Island, NY

Hi all,

New guy here from Long Island, NY. I currently have a Starcraft (By Jayco) 197RB Hybrid. We love our hybrid but with a growing family and some delimitation issues we are looking starting to actively look to upgrade to a regular travel trailer (planning on perching sometime in mid-late 2013) After looking at our small local Jayco Dealer (WES Trailers in Calverton, NY) we really like the Jayflight 25BHS. We plan on hitting a few RV shows over the winter to see what else is out there.

Welcome from Port Jeff!

If you're looking to purchase mid-late 2013 then I would highly suggest waiting until the Hershey RV show in September. We have been to the last two shows and bought Jaycos at both of them.

As of right now we are planning on the Springfield, MA and the Alentown PA RV shows.

Everyone else, thanks for the welcomes!

Welcome form another Islander.

Do yourself a favor and buy off the Island. The prices are way better once you get out of this area. I bought my unit used in PA. WES, TAG and every other dealer we went to had no real used inventory and their new prices were way too high.

Welcome and happy hunting. I will second the Hershey RV show. It makes all of the others look small.

Seriously, especially if you are looking to purchase mid-late 2013. The Jayco dealer for at least the past two years at the Hershey show has been Gayle Kline in Pennsylvania.

The local RV places around here are pretty awful in terms of selection.
