Smile Hello from Middle Tennessee Boondocker!

Hi everyone, I am totally new to the camper experience. My husband and I have been avid campers ever since we were dating in the 80s but have always used tents. Now that we are getting older, and a little more surly when faced with rain on a campout, when I found a great deal on a 1995 Jayco 1207 I jumped on it...I bought it brought it home and parked it in back without telling my husband. He has FINALLY come around to the idea! We have painted the inside and worked on a few things and the only thing that has stumped us so far is adding a battery...I don't see an extra wire and all the wires there are still attached together....we are going to try to tackle that one this weekend then off for our first trip to celebrate his 50th birthday. Happy Camping to everyone!

Congratulations and welcome! As fellow former tent campers, my wife and I can attest that you will appreciate the new experience. I'm also a big fan of your state, my daughter lives in Nashville.

Welcome aboard, and like so many others, we upgraded from a pup to a travel trailer. Love Tennessee camping, we just spent a week at Montgomery Bell SP and love it. Camping in the Smokies in the fall. Congrats on new tt, enjoy. Hubby will be proud the next camping trip with rain...

Not sure if you have the owners manual for your pup but here is a link to one at Cunningham campers. http://www.cunninghamcampers.com/fckimages/1995CT.pdf
It looks like the battery was an option but it does talk about hooking one up for lights and furnace.

CONGRATULATIONS on the JAYCO!!!

...and WELCOME TO JOF!!! The members here are GREAT!!! There is a lot of GREAT information to be found here. I am sure that you will have information and pictures to share with us... so please do!!

We just arrived here in mountains of Hiawassee GA, and will be up here until October. Usually get here when the trees are GREEN, but there is a shortage of green foliage now and an absence of heat outside... 80's back home...

Don

We live about 20 minutes from Montgomery Bell and have grown up going to it. It is a GREAT relaxing park! Happy Camping!
