Hello from Ohio

Greetings,

Just purchased a 2017 Jayco Eagle 28.5 and realized quickly that I need to install the extra A/C unit over the bedroom. Has anyone had a unit added and what seems to be the best choice for a 13,500? My trailer is prewired.

Thanks

Why use a 13,500 when the 15,000 is not that much more? Just be sure to go with the low profile.

Congratulations and welcome! Go with the Coleman 15,000 BTU low profile unit. We changed out our front standard Coleman unit that came with the unit to the low profile.

Greetings to you. Congratulations on the new-to-you Eagle and welcome to the forum.

To be sure your current A/C unit is working as efficiently as possible...
It might be a good idea to clean your current A/C outside heat exchanger. On the inside, be sure the baffle between the hot & cold sides of the A/C is in place and tape your ceiling ducts.
(BTW: Some members on this site have found their A/C baffle out of position and ceiling ducts leaking cold air.)

Look at that! You just got the trailer and already have more things for your to-do list.
