Hello from Oregon

Just bought a 2020 22C Redhawk SE right before the virus thing hit. We are outfitting it but don't know when we will get to use it. New to RVing but have owned a sailboat before. Had planned to go up the Alaska Hwy to Anchorage this May but that trip is off now. Maybe a long trip somewhere in Sept. We have a Welsh Corgi dog we are trying to get comfortable with the RV. I am married, retired, and a docent at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum in McMinnville, OR (Home of Howard Hughes "Spruce Goose") but the Museum is closed now.

Lots to learn about the RV but my initial finding is that it is really hard to get to the air valve stems on the wheels. I put extensions on the rear wheels but the front hubcap design makes it hard to put air in the tires. Don't know why a simple thing as putting air in the tires has to be so difficult.

Looking forward to corresponding with all the Jayco owners out there.

Welcome to the Forum from Western New York State! Congratulations on the new Redhawk! I know you didn't expect this situation to come along, and turn your plans upside down, when you bought it, but sooner or later, you all will be in it, rollin' down the highway. If your Corgi is like ours, he (she?) will love to ride and go camping. Our boy can't wait to see the sights, and smell all the new territory out there. Happy camping, and we're glad you've joined us here.

I saw your Corgi's photo and thought I might hear from you. Our 7.5 yo female Corgi, Lexie, is tri-colored and loves to ride in her kennel in the car. So we are hoping she will adapt to the RV. I'll post some photos of her and our RV soon. Thanks for the welcome.

The avatar is our 6 yr old boy, Bartley. Our first one was a male tri. We had him for 14 wonderful years. I look forward to your pics. Get on my profile, and there's another pic of him, thinking he could catch a fish.
