Welcome to the forum...

I'm curious.. did you purchase your camper "long-distance"? In other words, did you make the purchase while you were still in Switzerland, though a US dealership, or... ?

Enjoy your extended stay and your travels in the US

Hello from Switzerland

Welcome from Texas!
Glad you joined us. You will find friendly and helpful people on the JOF.

If your travels take you to Texas and you plan to use the state parks system, consider a Texas parks pass (Texas Parks and Wildlife Department). Normally, they charge a per person day use fee in addition to camp fees, but that is waved with the parks pass.

welcome! I will offer this advice when you come to Canada, book ahead. Our national parks are beautiful and they book quickly. We just booked one and within the first 10 minuets the summer months were booked. We have run into many folks in the parks who have rent RVs from abroad and have nowhere to stay. The booking agency don't tell them to book the campsites ahead. Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Welcome to the USA. I totally agree with the advice given about national park campsites booking a year ahead. The US national park sites can be hard to get also.

Happy News Years to you and your husband as well. What a great adventure y’all are about to embark on. I hope all goes well. Take your time and enjoy the people you meet along the way. If y’all are in central Florida (Inverness) and need a break from the camper, we have an apartment down stairs that you’re welcome to. Blessings
