Hello from Virginia

Hello, We have a 26' bunkhouse TT. Instead of buying a new TT we are looking to convert the Bunk bed section to a wardrobe and inside storage for non perishable food stuffs. Does any one have ideas or have you done this and how did it turn out?

No ideas on how to do the conversion but I am sure someone on this forum will be of help. Welcome to the forum from east Tennessee!

Welcome to The Forum! I think converting a bunk room into storage is a great idea, and one I thought about doing myself. But I was looking at buying new, then converting, so it didn't make as much sense as it does for someone who already has the bunkhouse. In my research, I found that several people had included a small desk for a computer. If you spend some time "on line" (like those of us who follow this forum), that might be something you'd want to incorporate into your plans. Just a suggestion.

Welcome to the forum.

If I was thinking about converting the bunk house into storage and a wardrobe I would measure the space and develop a plan that suited myself and go from there.

I would be careful on how you are securing items to the trailer as you do not want to put screws through the side of the trailer. Good luck.

we thought about it with our old camper that was a bunk house then just decided to trade it on one that had a nice wardrobe ... the one thing I would make sure of is that it doesn't undermine any of the structure of the camper .... good luck

Welcome aboard. We like camping in your state. Wife is from Palmyra. No idea how to mod your rig but I know someone has done it. Maybe they will chime in.
