Hello. New ...with lots to learn.

I have already jumped in asking questions, and getting some really helpful info and opinions. Figure I should post in Welcome Mat!

Just bought a 2019 JAYCO JAY FLIGHT SLX 175RDW Baja. It's in new condition (until I find it isn't) and was an (almost) perfect match for our needs. We looked at a few other similar TT, and the very modest 175 rd was actually what we were looking for all along.

As I have said before, I will be (slowly) towing with a 2015 Tacoma DCSB 4x4. I have decided on a Prodigy P3 brake controller and will be adding a Fastway E2 WDH this week. (Question on that to be posted shortly).

For now, two procedural questions:

1) I have been posting in the sub forum for Light Trailers - I assume that is the right spot for this trailer? I am looking for all the experienced input I can get.

2) I have about 17 newbie questions, and growing. Is it preferred to dedicate a thread to each topic, or to collect them all in one conversation?

I appreciate all the help already, and the help yet to come!

Ask away! People here get bored and love helping newcomers!

As far as which section of the forum I think your fine there. I don’t even search dedicated sections anymore. I just browse the new post updates for the entire site throughout the day. I don’t think there is such an influx of new posts that I miss anything?

My suggestion would be to dedicate a separate thread to each question. When I see a lot of questions in one post, I:

a. Figure the person is to lazy to do any research on their own.
b. I might have good answers for a couple of their questions, but not all, so I don't bother.
c. Find it a little overwhelming and move on.

Also, if you limit it to one question per thread, you can do better titles. I prefer titles that actually give an idea of the question. ex: At what speed should I tow?

But that's just me. Others might disagree.

For new folks, I always recommend youtube videos for getting knowledge quickly. Easy way to ingest a lot of info.

Good luck to you.

Thanks Siamese. Already scouring the YouTubes ... but sometimes you need a dialogue, ya know?

I agree with you on separating by topic, and I think that is the way I will go.

Welcome! Start asking away, there is nothing wrong with asking a few related questions together too.
