Hello...winch issue

Hi there i'm new to the forum..I have a Jayco 14 high wall. Over years of use the crank handle has rounded the winch tube. I'm trying to replace the winch tube now. My question is can the tube itself be removed from the whole winch assembly or does the winch assembly have to be removed. I ordered a new winch tube from Jayco but they couldn't answer my question..nice

I believe it's part of the lift assembly and isn't sold separately. At least my old Coleman was like that.
