Smile Hey there folks!

Hi guys. Don`t really feel new here as I`ve been lurking for a little while, taking it all in. So my family and I have recently purchased a 2016 27BHS which is currently sitting at the dealers lot until we pick it up in the spring. We are so excited to get it out on the road to do some camping. Already have a few trips planned and booked, as well as many others in the works. We did make a pretty big jump in the whole RV world, we went from tent camping right up to this bad boy. I am a little nervous having never towed anything before, as well as this trailer being right at the limit of my 1/2 ton (9200 tow, 1650 payload). Been reading lots on here and watching many youtube vids, but still have lots of questions. Look forward to chatting with you all!

Hi to you. Congratulations on the new Jay Flight and welcome to the forum.

Before you pickup the trailer, study the PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) form you've probably stumbled across when you were lurking. Since it's your first trailer there is a lot to learn about.

With your 1/2ton being right at its limits, you'll need a GOOD weight distribution hitch and anti-sway. But you've probably read all about that already. Airing up your tow vehicle and trailer tires to the maximum shown on the sidewall will also help combat sway.

Don't hesitate to ask if you have questions. You already know we're a friendly bunch and we try to help.

Congratulations and welcome!

The only thing I'd add to what oldman said is to take it slow and easy until you're used to towing. We were given that advise when we started out a few years ago and it worked well for us.
