Hey, y'all!

I am Lorelei, and my husband is Dave. We recently purchased a new Jay Flight 174BH, and just yesterday returned from its maiden voyage. We love it! A bit of history - we started out in tents but one cold night brought on a asthma attack, so we decided to get a pop-up. We rented one to see how we liked it, but it was way too much trouble setting up and taking down, so we looked for and found an old Aliner. We loved it for about ten years, but by that time health issues dictated that we get a TT with, um, facilities.

We sold the Aliner and bought a TT of another brand that shall go unmentioned. From the first, it had quality issues. The refrigerator never cooled sufficiently, there was a burning smell from the battery and electrical system when we hooked it up, the dealer (who was a 200 mile trip away) installed and set the trailer brakes way too high, which resulted in damage that they said was " OK ." The final straw was discovering a massive leak between the floor and the bottom of the camper. There were other quality issues that we could have lived with but not the brakes, possible electrical problems, and the leak. Back to the dealer it went. To the dealer's credit, they gave us a full refund.

My colleague has a Jayco, and she said she has never had a problem with it. After a lot more research plus a price we could not refuse, we bought the 174BH. Everything worked perfectly - what a relief! I know it's on the small end of TTs but it feels massive compared to our Aliner.

Anyway, if you have made it to the end of this first post without either falling asleep or wanting to tape my typing fingers together, I salute you! Thanks!

Lorelei

Well, thanks for the warm welcome! Yes, we are from Charleston, SC, or rather the outskirts of the city. I look forward to accessing y'alls' knowledge.
