Smile Hey y'all

Hey guys! I'm newish here. Been a member since June last year, just haven't said hello yet.

My husband and I are now on our own since our two 20-somethings have gotten married and moved out so now it's just us (what a shocker). We have enjoyed our 29 foot Jayco Jayflight travel trailer that we got a few years ago, but we haven't taken it on our maiden voyage yet. It has gotten a lot of use during the summers as the summer "playhouse, doghouse, guest room," and we love it.

We're hoping to take the grandkids somewhere this summer though. If anyone has suggestions, we haven't yet decided where to go. We live in upstate NY and the grandkids are 8 and 10.

We are researching and ready to purchase a storage building for our trailer as the winters here are really snowy and we want to preserve the roof if we can. Anyone have any suggestions or tips for us? We have been looking at metal RV garages but aren't really finding what we want for a good price so not sure when that might happen. We, or should I say I, would like to have something delivered and installed by a company, contractor, etc. So far we feel like we are chasing our tails.

Anyway, thanks for being here and I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys.

Toodaloo!

Hey Kim. Welcome to you and your husband. No real help on a brand or company to use for a building or roof. Safe Travels, and many memories.

Lakeside Campground in Windsor NY is my personal favorite. It is just south of Binghamton off of I-81. We stay there every time we visit my in-laws in the summer. Quiet, remote, and beautiful.

We had a local company build us a pole barn for our fifthwheel. It was not inexpensive but well worth the money. I know there are nation wide companies that build them for example Morton. Right now with the out of control steel and lumber prices it may be quite a bit more expensive. My building has 16 ft side walls and is 40 × 56 full concrete floors and electrical and has power lift doors. It cost around 80k.
