Hi to all you happy owners. My wife and I are on our third Jayco and about to order our fourth Friday 20th Feb. Stepping up from a Sterling 21.65.7 to a Silverline 23.72.1.Don't know where you are at with models in the States but we haven't decided on the lounge or buffet option. Can anyone help me with a photo of the buffet and share your thoughts?

Thanks Sherm. You guys sure drive beasts over there. I have the baby brother of the Tundra in Toyota's. We visited in 2013 and drove a G.M.C. YUKON which was great. Absolutely love your country and the folk after visiting only 6 states.

Welcome to JOF! Unfortunately Jayco USA and Jayco AUS are two different entities with two entirely different product lines, so no one on this side of the globe could likely answer your questions about those units. But you can still have fun on our community forum here and hang out with us!

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I wondered about Jayco US being a different entity as price plus import would be ridiculous. The 23 foot rig we are looking at is in the vicinity of AU$75000.

We have been RV'ers since retirement in 2001. Been round Aus once but to see everything you would have to keep going for 5 years to be at the right place at the right time of year.

Our favorite state is Tasmania (our southernmost and only Island state) probably because of the tranquility and the trout fishing but my main hobby is faceting gemstones.

I will certainly jump on the site from time to time and may be able to offer a tip or two on locations if ever you guys head down under.

Which states did you visit while you were here? What did you think? It would be great if you could post pictures of your favorite stops in AUS. It would help us here in New England forget were having our third snowstorm in as many weeks.

Hi Izzyshouz,

We had 6 weeks and arrived and departed at L.A international visiting California, Arizona, New Mexico (briefly), Colorado, Utah and Nevada. Saw all the usual hot spots Disneyland, Vagas, Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam Petrified Forest, Giant Sequoias, Yosemite, Monument Valley, etc and some off the track sites like Canyon De Chelly, 4 corners Nat. Park, record frog jumps at Angel's Camp, frozen lakes west of Lake Tahoe just before the end of the winter season. Had our daughter's birthday 3 April 2013 on the edge of Lake Tahoe. Learnt some interesting history about the Navajo Code Breakers roll in W.W.11, etc,etc. No room to tell it all.

Generally, we had a great time and will return.

Sounds like a great trip! We hope to make out west someday. We travel mostly here in New England. Be sure to hit our part of the states when you return. Lots of great hikes, lakes and camping along the coast. Great historical sites everywhere. Our camper is tucked away in a barn and I cant wait to get it out and start the season!!
