Hi from Waterdown, Ontario

Hello all. Purchased a 1997 Fibreglass sided Eagle 323 RKS. First 5th wheel camping trailer but pulled my horses gooseneck for years & camped in various trailers as well as restoring on old 1974 Winnebago. This unit will need some restoration due to delamination over the winter. Put on a temporary patch & good to go for another 2 months.

Welcome to the group. I can relate to the old 74 Winnie you said you had. We started with a 75 Winnebago Brave D-21. That old Dodge M series chassis was a tough piece. I used to enjoy smoking the newer motorhomes on the grades with my 440 power.

Thanks. Where you ever on the old Winnebago site? I peeled the aluminum siding off mine. Added some angle iron frame on the under side of the floor to support the plywood walls. Also swapped the old 1974 carbuerated 318 with a 1994 magnum 318 muilitport fuel injection with the 5something tranny that came with the engine. Resided it with filon. It was a nice project. Restored it back better than new.

I was on a Classic Winnebago site for awhile and posted under the name Cousin Eddie ( I also posted on the rv.net forum under that name). I wrote a piece on the Winnebago site titled Motorhome Driving 101.

Did you post the pictures of the siding job there? I seem to recall seeing one on that site with a Filon siding job.

There is a picture of my old Winnie in my album. Click on my profile and then on my Album.
