Hi, I'm New (Duh)

Looks like there's about a 99% chance that I'm going to become a Jayco owner in the next few weeks (mainly because the only RV dealer anywhere near me and not requiring a drive up and over the mountains seems to have a hard *ahem* love Jaycos. So, my options are Jayco, Jayco, Jayco, or a 5 hour and 11,000 foot summit drive.

I am glad that someone on a general forum pointed me in this direction to kibitz with people who might actually be familiar with Jayco THs.

Welcome to JOF. I'm sure you will find answers to many questions you have and likely some you did not know to ask.

What are you going to tow that Octane (potential) with. If it's not already in your garage?

You all are 99% funny. Thanks for the welcome.

I'm looking at a newer F150. I really didn't want to have to go that big, but to get a TT or TH that will fit me and my dog, it seems I have to.

I'm having a bit of an identity crisis about going from a pocket-sized foreign car "granola" environmentalist to a stereotypical American. I escaped Texas without a truck and now I'm in hippie country considering a truck. Sounds a bit backwards to me. Still now that I'm out here, there be sights too see all within a 1/2 day drive, and an RV--while not cheaper than a dog sitter--seems like a great way to take the fam.

Exhausted shopping all day with no food and a 76lb mutt in tow. I've put a deposit down on a F150 that the mutt can fit in and a 2018 Octane SL. Now It's time to freak out a bit.

LOL right. A friend last night said that it could be worse, the potential mistake could have been a snot-nosed money sucking bi-pedal progeny.
No offense intended to those who like and/or want to be parents...all power to you and thank you for helping to repopulate the country so I don't have to.

Something small and Jaycoish followed me home today My neighbors, I'm sure, had some entertaining times watching me back the sucker into my drive way (aligned perfectly it can be a straight shot. HOWEVER, there are some obstacles including a post with my address on it that aren't visible from the driver's seat when the TH is where it needs to be.
